A city of incredible grandeur and majesty, of the most outstanding, aesthetically challenging, boldly experimental, often revolting but also traditionally picturesque architectural complexity, a city that calls for admiration and total submission to unbeatable temptations. But also a gigantic metropolis, a supernatural woomb that tries desperately to accomodate and nourrish a universal, multiracial, polyethnic crowd of diverse civilizations and cultures, confronted religions, strictly unequal social classes and,very often, clushes of racist hatred that turn it the most aimed target of international terrorism....A real Babel Tower that will continue to glow full of marvels but also fear...
