It is amazing how well they blend in with their surroundings. There are three colors of Screech owls in the southeastern US, red, brown and grey. I receive more red ones than brown or grey. Not because more red ones get into trouble, but I think it's because the Good Samaritan can't spot the brown and grey ones as well as they can see the red ones... I'm just guessing...
