      But it is a scene quite difficult to see, nowadays.
      I am glad you liked this - the recession of chimneys and slate roofs.
      The brick walls are , mainly, about 150 years old ; and the roofs are covered in stone slates (rather than pottery tiles) ; but half of the windows in the picture are modern, UPVC, plastic - and the hatch windows in the roofs indicate loft-conversions that will have happened within the last 20 years.
      Thus - time moves on - and nothing stays exactly the same. mark.
