"On the shore of Hardangerfjorden" , I would suggest.
Here the fjord is not yet called Eidfjorden, because in the picture you can see Utne kyrkje on the left. A little further east, after passing the Sørfjord, the part of the Hardangerfjord called Eidfjorden begins./ Michael

  thank you again, Michael .... I am glad you know the area so well and can help ... yes, I realize I took this image before we got to the Herdanger Bridge - unfortunately there was no running commentary to explain when the fjords changed.

  Did you take a picture of the bridge? When it opened, it was Norway's longest bridge and one of the longest in the world.
  But Hardangerbrua didn´t exist when I was in that area for the last time. Traveling was slower, more pleasant I would say.
  We had to take the ferry between Brimnes and Bruarvik.
  Have you ever visited the Canadian fjords?

  thank you, yes, several bridge images from far away and right under it ... early in the morning and weather not favourable.
  I have spent almost 30 years cruising the waters of British Columbia and Alaska with our sailboat- have a sailing folder - had to give up the boat last year :-(((

Idyllically situated place. The corner of the country seems to be known as the fruit orchard of Norway, as your picture proves.

  danke - ja, das hab ich mich auch gefragt, denke aber, dass es vielleicht kleine Aepfelbaeume sind ??? man macht dort sehr feinen 7%igen Most, den wir in einem anderen Ort probiert haben :-)))
