That's probably the problem everywhere. The ships come and spit out hundreds of people and little money stays in town because the full board on the ship takes care of your physical well-being

  thank you, Joachim ... and I think you are right , the "little man" does not profit much - it is docking fees and gains for the bus companies and taxis and bike rentals, and in Flam the train ...

Irgendwie stört das Kreuzfahrtschiff die Harmonie des Bildes....auf jeden Fall in meinen Augen ;-)) Aber dieser Kontrast macht die Aufnahme aus. Ich bin mehr ein Fan der Kajaks und der Landschaft.

une photo qui me révolte, ces gros navires qui envahissent ces sites superbes pour du fric! cela devraient être interdit ce tourisme de masse! tu n'y est pour rien et ta photo est un cruel mesage!! bisess

  thank you, dear Odette ... I appreciate your feelings and wish there was a better way to see these amazing fjords. I was one of the passengers on this cruiseship :-((( I understand that the Geiranger Fjord is now closed to cruise travel - maybe it will be an example for the other little communities in the fjords.

Was mir Gedanken bereitet ist, dass mit Anlegen des Kreuzfahrtschiffes tausende von Menschen in dieses kleine Dorf einfallen

great, the encounter of the monster ship and the little kayaks in this rather restricted water basin. As to the inundation of the village by the monster's passengers, I have witnessed this in the town of Tallin - a sort of flash flood
