November rain

.......And when your fears subside
And shadows still remain
I know that you can love me
When there's no one left to blame
So never mind the darkness
We still can find a way
'Cause nothin' lasts forever
Even cold November rain.......

The colours are very bright Maja, but that is what gives this its impact, I do agree about the frame the brightness of the flower with the vivid yellow of the frame is for me at least just a little too much brightness.
But non the less a lovely shot!
    Greetings

Another "refreshing " picture.Great with the raindrops on it. But that wasn`t so difficult to find the last past days :-))

A very nice pic, with warm colours in a cold autum and with perfect sharpness.

Worlds apart, but 'playing' with the same thoughts!
What a great gift the web is to make it possible to
    share it :))

Originally it was a pastel yellow. I think that is why I was drawn so quickly to your picture, you did very much what I was playing with just a few minutes before. I had the same thought about the sun. I think the white is fine. I like your bright yellow. I tried to crop it like Ruud said but didn't like it as much as how you have it.

The white frame fits your picture perfectly, although it could have been a soft pink as in the flower as well. I think a more colourful frame would indeed have spoilt the effect.
    Thanks for your explanation!
    Kindest regards,
    Maja

    Hi Maja,

Thanks for your comment on mine. Yes, we seem to be missing the sun. Mine was taken last week during the Thanksgiving holiday while we were out for dinner.
It's taken with a different lens than yours, a macro with a 1:1 adapter ring. It's a tiny flower to begin with and the depth of field is very shallow, that is why areas are blurred. It was hand held, without a flash because I wanted to capture the dullness surrounding it. I think the vibrant colors of yours are lovely, and I rather like the sunny bold frame you put to it. I had a colored frame around mine, but it made it too cheery, couldn't make up my mind what to do with it, so I left it white.

Thanks for your comment, Ruud. Much appreciated.
With the frame in the same colour as occurs in the flower I wanted to emphasize my longing for sunny colours during this 'dark' period.
To my humble opinion a white frame would disturb the balance of colours. You may be right about the thickness of the frame.
    Greetings, Maja

Beautiful Maja. Like the poem with it. Same thought with this one.
