  Thanks. Luck played its part. This fellow appeared at the bar door as I walked by. I asked him of I could photograph him. 'Of course', in perfect English so he was shot twice. I used the Gradiant Mask in PS to find the high contrast which I feel suits this frame, but not all.

This is a picture portraying a man in an eye-catching outfit. He looks satisfied with his life and interacting with the photographer.

The left sides reflections in a window make clear that it's taken on the street. A wonderful combination, which remain in memory.

Sharpness and tonal curves are on a high quality level, so technique, motif and expression come together, creating a beautiful photo.

  Absolutely correct, Hansi. The qualities of the Fujinon 33mm 1.4 are well-known. In combination with the XE4, I have found an ideal 'street' combination.

I like the composition of the picture, which is both condensed and open. You read it counter-clockwise, from right to left: First comes the imposing man, then the lettering, and finally the reflection of the street and row of houses diagonally opposite, with a simultaneous view into a pub or bar. Complex and yet very "tidy". Praise and greetings.

  Gerhard: Thanks for the comprehensive overview. Retrospectively, with the benefit of time, I attempted to make a quality composition but only in the editing phase. The actual shots - two were taken - were all over in about five seconds. I asked the subject if I could photograph him. He agreed, warmly and without reservation, as you can see. I opted for monochrome. Thanks again and cheers from Kaunas.

  My Life is Good! How About Yours?' .............Well, there were many events in my life to master, but today, at the age of 71 i have to admit that my life was and still is good, compliment for the photo shoot.
