Magical Sunset
This huge contrail which led into the setting sun turned into something quite unique and marvelous. I took this image just this evening. I did nothing special in PS other than bringing out some shadow detail in the foreground and adjusting the contrast slightly in Levels. After resizing I applied a light USM. That's it. This is a fair representation of what it actully looked like...as well as the camera can do that is. ©2003 Craig Robinson [#Beginning of Shooting Data Section] Nikon D1X 2003/03/07 17:23:18.6 RAW (12-bit) Image Size: Large (3008 x 1960) Color Lens: 28-70mm f/2.8-2.8 Focal Length: 28mm Exposure Mode: Aperture Priority Metering Mode: Multi-Pattern 1/45 sec - f/16 Exposure Comp.: 0 EV Sensitivity: ISO 125 White Balance: Cloudy AF Mode: AF-C Tone Comp: Normal Flash Sync Mode: Not Attached Color Mode: Mode II (Adobe RGB) Hue Adjustment: 0° Sharpening: Low Noise Reduction: Image Comment: [#End of Shooting Data Section]

Hi Craig, welcome to the fc. You show the beauty of the sunset and the landscape where you live.
The cloud from the airplane is leading to the sun; that gives the eye a "path" to look. I like your picture.
Greetings from Germany
Heike.
