Das Japanische Mövchen stammt nicht aus Japan, sondern wurde in China gezüchtet. Von da kam es nach Japan und hat so wahrscheinlich seinen Namen erhalten. Sie werden gerne als Ammen für die Aufzucht von heiklen, anderen Vögeln benutzt. Sie brüten zuverlässig und ziehen die Jungen vorbildlich auf. Selbst fremde, flügge Vögel werden mitgefüttert.
Diese 2 Hübschen hier waren haben wir in Holland im Vlindertuin Vlindorado angettroffen, einem großen und wunderschönen Schmetterlingshaus …

The Society finch does not originate from Japan, but was bred in China. From there it came to Japan, which is probably how it got its name.
