Das war eine der letzten noch unverfälschten Nebenbahnen in Deutschland.Da ja hier seit Anfang der 90er Jahre regelmäßig Uerdinger Schienenbusse fuhren, konnte man durchaus schon von einer Tradition sprechen, obwohl die Strecke zuvor jahrelang Refugium der Reichsbahn-Ferkeltaxen war.
