Vanishing America - Ice Cream Stand

You have to venture out into the small towns to find these stand alone Ice Cream shops. Most have been torn down and replaced by Corporate stores in strip shopping centers.

A nice throw back to the non franchised days when a person could eat more of the local fare. There is one local operation here in Omaha that retains the old facade and service.

The owner seems to have german roots, think his roots
are in southern Germany, Baden-Würtemberg ore
Bajuvaria. You see this in the last "inger" part of name.
Like Kiesinger, Kissinger, Schlesinger, Ratzinger (pope)
and so on.
