L'occhio attraversa l'intera fotografia, ammirando ogni cambiamento di tonalità del cielo che si sta aprendo al sereno, ogni curva dolce del terreno assecondata dal fisheye, ogni susseguirsi di onde disegnate nel ghiaccio come un marmo preziosissimo, ogni piccola macchia di verde di alberi lontani all'orizzonte, e alla fine resta appeso alle piccole figure a destra, esili presenze umane lungo il sentiero quasi nascosto nella neve. E da lì, assieme alle fugure, assapora la reale vastità del luogo, il suo respiro primordiale.
