Great street portrait...I know he looks mean and hateful but, some times looks are not true, He could be the nicest guy you ever met...and what you see may be the results of the lessons in his life...very PRO, dennis
Joanna's explaination works for me regarding the issue Ruud brought up. I felt it was disrespectful as well. Joanna evidently is able to bring out the most beautiful aspects of her subjecst as well as highlight the harsher. I think it's a good used of the editing techniques that are very popular right now as Rob said. Once you play with the effects it isn't as impressive knowing much of it is added in post production. I think the grime layer was used too strong, but I like the editing of the eyes and the way she brought out the blue and twinkle of his eyes. I think there is too much focus on just the beautiful portraits in the gallery. This is a nice characture image but I'm on the fence. Have to think.
