The Fungi World (218) : Girdled Webcap & Reed Parachute

Girdled Webcap is a rather rare fungus species but a beautiful one, at least to my taste.
It likes to grow in boggy broadleaf woodland, particularly under poplars, willows and birches.

Dutch name : Gegordelde gordijnzwam
German name : Natternstieliger Schleimfuss
Latin name : Cortinarius trivialis

The 4 extremely tiny white fungi at the base of the middle Girdled Webcap are Reed Parachutes that like to grow on the leaves of reed and other wetland plants.
Their caps have a diameter of only 0,1 cm !

Dutch name : Rietwieltje
German name : Schilf-Schwindling
Latin name : Marasmius limosus
