there's a lot of potential here with the colors and costumes in what looks like a parade (??). it was a one-time shot, but for future reference, you could compensate for the harsh shadows of mid-day sunlight with fill flash. more impact also when you can catch the subject's eye. for this image, i'd try some brightness/contrast and levels adjustments in photoshop or other photo editing software. it'll boost the pinks in the balloons and support your title. some different cropping options could also tighten up the composition. this light is so hard to work with—i've done lots of parades. if there's a shady place on the route, shoot from there and you won't be competing with the sun. have fun playing with this...i love pink!!sarah k
