Passing Marpha
Last stop before reaching Jomsom on the way to Muktinath on my tour in 1986. It was one day after the Chernobyl disaster.
Overnight in Neeru Guest House, it still serves its hospitality to the trekkers in 2012. Marpha always was a stop for porters and caravans going the salt way to Tibet.
The slide photo is scanned by a Nikon CoolScan 5000 ED from Kodachrome 100.
