Sputni 2 capsule with Leika dog
Don't forget the heroes!....
Leika has been the first creature to be launched in space (actually sacrificed in space because nobady expected her to return) with Sputnik 2 in November 3 1957 in order to study endurance to temperature extremes.
She died on the fourth circuit of the flight from overheating.
One of the highlights to remember from my High school days!...
