My Dog, Maggie
My border collie is protecting a hatch of chicks while the hens look on. The dog considers this more fun than chasing her frisbee. Being a herding dog she either watches the chicks, herds them around the yard, or (as here) tries to pick them up in her mouth. She will remember individual chicks that she cares for even when they are nearly grown. Pentax *ist D @ ISO 200; Pentax DA 16-45 @ 45 mm; AF 360 FGZ flash with Stofen Omni Bounce; 1/45 @f4.
