      The village of Muker is very "photogenic".
      It enjoys such a nice setting in the fields, and with the hills around - that it looks good from the north-west (as in this picture) , or from the north, or from the south and east.

      You are right to make that connection - with the books and the tv series. The village of Langthwaite , lower down the valley, and the pub there - make more of their particular connection with james herriott.
