Lo sguardo verso la luce laterale esalta il profilo classico del modello, le ombre si diluiscono morbidamente e lo sguardo si illumina, diventando il centro di interesse del ritratto. Neppure le scritte fanno distogliere l'attenzione dall'espressione rapita e intensa del viso. Un bellissimo ritratto in cui la tecnica rende un ottimo servizio all'idea .
