My dear Cris, what a coincidence! Couple of weeks ago, being in London at my doughters, I was taken by her to a lovely restaurant on this street in an old 19th century residence!... And it was also a dull rainy day!..One of your all time nice pics....

  How did you feel in London, did you see anything special that you liked? I'm planning to go there nextly to see its architectural growth in the last couple of decades. (let's see if I succeed ...)

  No, my dear Cris, the one I've been was in Lombard st. and this why your lovely photo triggered my memories. Well, yes, I'm a little estranged from fotocommunity presently engaged otherwise mainly in an amateur theater group preparing some stage presentations here in Thessaloniki but, I hope, I may again try a comeback shortly. Yes, I agree London has several places that have been very interestingly modified in the recent decades but none as much ashtonishingly as the famous Docklands where you can see one of the most gallant architectural steps ever practiced whether succesful or not still remaining a major argument among the experts. Docklands is an area that back in the seventies, when I was studying in England, it was entirely in the sea.. I have already presented some photographic series of this region in FC. I hope you will menage your visit and enjoy a lovely stay in London soon.

  Oh!, I forgot something...
  If you ever find yourself in North England (North Yorkshire) don't miss to visit the lovely sea village Whitby and few miles away, Robinhood's Bay(with camera in hand of course).
  If you ever find yourself in London Docklands (Wapping), don't miss to visit "The Prospect of Whitby", one of the loveliest and oldest pubs in England... (since 1520)
