And once again a picture from Mainau Island, another one from the butterfly house. I was really thrilled by it. The colleague here in a beautiful black and red is probably called Parides photinus (according to Google Lens) ...

Wunderbar!! Wäre allerdings Parides erithalion, Variable Cattleheart. Und variabel sind diese tatsächlich. Wenn du wieder googelst, siehst du wenig Ähnlichkeiten mit deinem, weil er eben wirklich sehr variabel ist, je nach dem woher er kommt und welche Unterart es ist, sogar extrem variabel.Arndt Deckers 27/11/2023 12:58
