Gunung Batur after last eruption
Short time after its last eruption in June 2000. Some chimneys still steaming and smoking, the whole top of the volcano was blown away.
Eruptions at Batur volcano began in March 1999. Six explosions occurred on 17th May 1999. An explosion on 25th May 1999 produced incandescent ejections which fell around the crater. Am explosion on 22.-23. March 2000 ejected material 200 m above the crater. Ash emissions continued until June 2000.
This photo was captured during my visit on Bali in 2001 with a CANON A-1 camera and a KODAK Ektachrome 50 ASA slidefilm. Scanned with a NIKON CoolScan V ED.

Die Vulkane in dieser Region rumoren zur Zeit - leider .....Die Aufnahme finde ich super gut vom Bildaufbau und auch in den Farben.
