Nice home and a sharp shot of it

Thankyou. This is one of the more picturesque villages in my home county of northumberland. It is a "model" village - built by a reform-minded , aristocratic landlady , in Victorian times, for the benefit of her estate tenants, (farm-workers).

We have to make it up there some day - looks lovely - I've only been up to the East Midlands - no farther North.

If you are ever thinking of coming to the North of England - look me up - email mark.keville551@btinternet.com.
Best time of year is May upto the end of October. I recommend the Yorkshire dales - particularly Richmond and Swaledale for landscape and countryside.
Newcastle is, in my opinion, the nicest, most photogenic, large city in the North of England ; (better than manchester or leeds) - but then, i am biased. I live here.

I'm quite impressed by the beauty of Ford. Fortunately, it remains the way it is and didn't become too populous.

The local government planning department will prevent any building in or around the village that detracts from its character.

    a cozy place to live

I say hello to the retired gentleman who lives in the house on the right. he is also a voluntary guide in the museum (outside the picture - to the left). So - these gingerbread-like houses are real homes.

Ford is a very picturesque, but small, village.
You could say that it is a "model" village - built by the rich landlords , (Lady Waterford, and then Lord Joicey) in late Victorian , and edwardian, times.
