Eupeodes latifasciatus on Wild Chicory
Eupeodes latifasciatus is a fairly small hoverfly that prefers damp meadows with lush vegetation.
There exists no English name for this species.
Wild chicory is a plant with bright blue flowers, native to Europe and widely naturalized in North America and Australia.

eine schöne Kombination von pflanzen- und Tierwelt.hoffentlich können wir das in Zukunft auch noch in freier Wildbahn fotografieren.
es werden immer weniger Insekten (jedenfalls bei uns).
