Acanthorhynchus tenuirostris
The Eastern Spinybill ( Acanthorhynchus tenuirostris ) is a species of honeyeater , found in south-eastern Australia in woodland and forest areas and in gardens in urban areas of Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. It is about 15 cm long and has distinctive black, white and maroon plumage, a red eye and a long, downward-curving bill. The eastern spinebill feeds on nectar from many plants, as well as small insects and other invertebrates. During periods of abundant flowering, there may be periods of low nectar production, and it appears that the Eastern Spinebill responds to this periodic deficiency by storing fat during periods of high nectar production, increasing the time it spends feeding, or shortening its daytime metabolic rate to nocturnal levels
Der Östliche Stachelschnabel ( Acanthorhynchus tenuirostris ) ist eine Honigfresserart , die im Südosten Australiens in Wald- und Waldgebieten sowie in Gärten in städtischen Gebieten von Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne und Adelaide vorkommt. Es ist etwa 15 cm lang und hat ein charakteristisches schwarzes, weißes und kastanienbraunes Gefieder, ein rotes Auge und einen langen, nach unten gebogenen Schnabel. Der östliche Spinebill ernährt sich von Nektar vieler Pflanzen, sowie kleine Insekten und andere wirbellose Tiere. Während Perioden mit reichlich Blüte kann es Perioden mit geringer Nektarproduktion geben, und es scheint, dass der Östliche Spinebill auf diesen periodischen Mangel reagiert, indem er in Perioden mit hoher Nektarproduktion Fett speichert, die Zeit, die er mit der Nahrungsaufnahme verbringt, verlängert oder seine Tageszeit verkürzt Stoffwechselrate auf nächtliche Werte

Na, ich glaube, dieser interessante Vogel war gar nicht so leicht zu entdecken von Dir in diesem Baum, und zwischen seinem Zweig- und Blattwerk auch nicht so einfach aufzunehmen. Es ist Dir aber richtig gut gelungen.Ein Dankeschön auch wieder für die gute Beschreibung dazu.
