All'ingresso delle abitazioni è usuale trovare cestini contenenti offerte materiali al Dio Sang Hyang Widhi, come monete, cibo o sigarette.
Se siete turisti, non abbiate timore ad unirvi a questa pratica, ma rimanete in disparte durante i mendak.
