since art is a complicated thing, since it's not only about technique and expertise, since it's all about emotion, too, and intuition, and getting emotion across – moving the viewer – it's most of all about personal taste! and even though this picture is beautifully composed and edited, and even though everyone loves it, it doesn't move me, and i can't help it! praising it would make me a hypocrite… i do appreciate the face, the intense pleasure on it – like a sunbather enjoying being sunkissed – but i don't understand the "weathered look of it" – unless, and this just hits me while i'm writing this, it's sun and rain both enjoyed at the same time, a thing out of the question in "real life", but perfectly plausible in a dream… it does make sense now, but still doesn't move me ; )). hope you don't mind! greetings, sabine.
