Creation #7, Lava cooling down after eruptions

Sciences are sure that in the early history of our planet volcanoes had been very active spreading lava out. I took this photo 2019 on Iceland during a walk through the Krafla area where between 1975 and 1985 volcanoes had erupted and spread this lava, now cooling down. Even in 2019 when visiting this area the warmth of the earth beneath my feet was noticeable and gases where escaping through gaps in the lava.
