Castle ‘Sorghvliedt’ at Hoboken (Belgium)
The history of this castle goes back to the 16th century when there was a large farm on this spot.
In the 18th century a group of wealthy Antwerp merchants bought the estate and let rebuild the edifice to a summer residence in classical rococo style with playful curls, golden objects and striking dormers.

I like the brick colour of the well mantained facade - which makes the building stand out against the greenery and blue sky. And the frame of a tree adds to the picture for sure. Beautifully captured, as always.Bw, Viola
