Ob es nur aus Profitgier neu gebaut wurde, weiß ich nicht.Vielleicht gab es bautechnische Gründe es abzureißen.

Wichtig ist doch das die Menschen dort gut versorgt werden...ich denke. vielen war das alt Gewohnte ans Herz gewachsen...
alte Bäume sollte man nicht unbedingt verpflanzen..

Da sollte man lieber das Alte wieder in Stand setzen, als das Neue auf die Schnelle hoch zu ziehen. Aber sicher ist das Geschmackssache.grüsse
