Airport runway
Funchal Airport. View under the Runway.
That "normal" planes can land at this airport, ca. 20 years ago the runway was extended by building a concrete structure over low coastal land and the sea. Still after this construction airport is fustigated by strong Atlantic winds and closed for operation many times during the year.
