wow, buses lining up for the experience of coming face to face with the mighty pyramids! for some strange irrational reason i always imagined them to be surrounded by an archaic desert rather than within reach of modern infrastructure – a stupid fallacy on my part of course… why should a famous site/sight and tourist magnet like that be in the middle of nowhere? it wouldn't make any sense! fell victim to the same fallacy when visiting niagara falls, where i was a little disappointed to find them on the verge of industrial buffalo rather than in the middle of the north american forest. ; ) – – amazing, how in this shot the awe-inspiring pyramids seem to be rising from the haze behind the curve like a sudden mirage! hugs, sabine.Mirjam Burer 10/02/2015 14:19
