Once a Corner Grocery Store (5)

now a Garden Center (Victoria Drive)
before supermarkets Vancouver had many, many little corner grocery stores in every neighbourhood (the entrance door being on the corner) .... some still remain, but many have been converted to other stores, cafes, art galleries and living quarters - I love them as they take away from the impersonality of the big stores...

Beautiful, Now Horticulture has been defined as the culture of plants for food, comfort and beauty. A more precise definition can be given as Laughing al the way to the bank

I'm sure that a photo book around this subject would be a great summary! regards Berthold

Oh the corner is going to hell here. A bar for god sake's. We need a good drinking establishment to tank up at. Not some flower and fluffy business. If this person really wanted to make this community a hot bed. All they needed to do is start a soap, an peppery business with candles and scented oils in addition to selling l Alcohol for the me to buy and tai home to the darlings of their desires.

Here only half the community gets serviced. Long live supermarkets. If not turn the store into parking to.

everyone would come to park just to avoid a parking ticket.

    :)))))

At least a garden center could be more acceptable than a "low style",ordinnary fast food touch..
    best regards alexander

oh, please go back and take a picture of it again, when the vine is in full bloom! i'm sure it will look even more enchanted! and i'm eager to find out what those "leaves" in the windows will turn into… love how you captured it with le figaro himself (?) ; ) tending to some crops outside! when night falls, i'm sure he'll pull down the metal shutters, shed his regular-guy disguise and start grooming his beloved plants with his bare scissorhands… ; ) hugs, sabine.

I love these kinds of storefronts -they are usually so organic and ran by such creative people that alway manage to add a new twist to everything.
may they bloom up everywhere :-)
    wishing you a nice Sunday!
