About me

I am a Chilean photographer and biologist based in Switzerland, specialized in Natural History and Travel photography. Since my youth, I have always been fascinated by the natural world and
it’s diversity. I grew up with an outdoor sense of curiosity, fed by a TV diet of documentaries of David Attenborough and Félix Rodríguez de La Fuente, and inspire by the books of Jean Henri Fabre “Souvenirs Entomologiques”.
Later, in the University, I’ve worked in many zoological areas like in entomology, ornithology, herpetology and arachnology, among which the taxonomic study of Chilean scorpions stands out.
I’ve been working with different institutions and organizations such as the National Forestry Corporation of Chile (CONAF), the Natural History Museum “Universidad de San Marcos” from Lima in Perú, the Committee for the Defense of the Fauna and Flora (CODEFF), the National Museum of Natural History of Santiago de Chile, Birdlife International and the Department of Biological Sciences from the University of Chile in Santiago, Zoological Society of London and The World Conservation Union.
Some of my clients include Sierra, Wildernestravel, Geo, Rough Guides, National Geographic, WWF, Methanex, Scholastic AG, Voyageurpress, Handbook of the Birds of the World, etc.
My work is currently represented by Danita Delimont Stock Photography (USA) and Photographers Direct (UK).
