Die Kritik fand ich auf der Photosig.com und weil ich selten so etwas lese, wollte ich es einfach mal hier reinsetzen...:"Good composition, good execution and good choice of presentation for this photo. Very impressive. Your DOF is shallow enough that the subject's face has mild definition in the BG while the sharpest focus remains on the hand and the ring(s) in the FG. Good tonal quality without incorporating too much noise or grain. Good lighting to get the highlights of the cheek, nose and forehead as well as the hand and cigarettes while the rest of the subject and surroundings are swallowed in darkness. Your interpretation chose to focus on two aspects of people that we all find personal - the face and the hands. These are two physical interfaces with other humans that we probably spend the most time dealing with either visually or through touch. You produced a good work here. I like the rounded edges as well because they help to reinforce the organic nature of your subject. The white border could go but a good effort."

Ich treffe meine Entscheidung nur aufgrund dieses Bildes und nicht aufgrund des Fotografen und seiner anderen Bilder.
Meine Entscheidung basiert auf meiner persönlichen Auffassung und Ansicht der Wirkung, Gestaltung und Technik des Fotos. Ich maße mir nicht an, meine Meinung als die einzig wahre oder richtige Begründung darzustellen.
Auch wenn ich nur ein ambitionierter Hobbyfotograf bin und glaube, dieses vielleicht nicht besser machen zu können, so erhebe ich doch den Anspruch, mir über dieses Foto eine persönliche Meinung bilden zu können.
Meine Wertung zu diesem Foto stellt keinerlei Wertung der Arbeit und des Fotografen dar.
