Wemyss Bay, Schottland
Am Bahnhof von Wemyss Bay, etwas westlich von Glasgow, fahren nicht nur Züge ab; er ist zugleich Fährstation. Hier legt die Fähre nach Rothesay ab. Dieser Bahnhof hat eine große Schönheit. Links geht es zur Fähre, rechts zu den Zügen und die Mitte bildet eine Glaskuppel. Ich nehme an, er ist Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts gebaut worden.

Ich mag solche Bahnhöfe, die aus einer vergangenen Epoche erzählen, wo eine Bahnfahrt noch ein Ereignis und keine Alltäglichkeit war.vg:Arthur
