Auf der Anhöhe des Parks thront das um 1800 errichtete Bauwerk erhaben über Baumwipfeln und Schlossdächern. Rapunzelturm nennen ihn die Caldener gerne. Die Fantasie der Besucher regt die steinerne Schöpfung nach einem Entwurf des Kasseler Hofarchitekten Simon du Ry allemal an.
