Sie sitzen da, weil Holz sich bei Sonne trotz kalter Luft schnell erwärmt.So kommen sie besser auf Flugtemperatur. Fliegen werden unter anderem dringend zur Versorgung der demnächst ausgebrüteten Jungvögel benötigt. Sie sind ein wichtiges Glied in der Nahrungskette der Natur.
