the window to europe? ; ) nah, two small and modest looking… but i bet peter, the great would have loved this arched view across the river and into the sun. in fact, if he were watching now, i think he would be mighty pleased with the many parked busses (or are they river ferries?) outside, hinting at loads of tourists from all over the world that come pouring into his city each day to let themselves be inspired by its alluring aura. makes one almost forget those 18th-century beginnings, the building of a new town under adverse conditions at the swampy delta of the neva… love, how the light is falling onto the green facade!! hugs, sabine.

Eine wundervolle Aufnahme und ein herrlicher Blick durch den Torbogen! Die Fenster scheinen sehr ordentlich geputzt gewesen zu sein!!!!
