The parched river bed of the Mekong
My photo shows the dry Mekong river bed during summer season.
Upstream this shooting point there are built three dams to fill Chinese and Laotian reservoirs. Three others are in contraction.
The Chinese authorities open the dam every four hours to let run water into the downriver that boats and barges can go on the river to find a way along rapids between the rocks.
