The Living Forest (79) : European Peacock
The colourful Peacock butterfly has not only quite spectacular eye-markings on the upperside of the wings to deter predators, but did you know that this butterfly is also able to make a hissing sound by rubbing its wings together (even audible to human ears).

ich habe letztens auch versucht, ein Tagpfauenauge zu erwischen ... bin aber gescheitert ... :0(Prächtig sieht dein Makro aus, Mark ... allerbeste Quali ... und wieder gefällt mir das Licht besonders gut.
