The Living Forest (15) : Foxglove
Last weeks I was exploring several forests in the Belgian Ardennes.
This is the 15th. picture of a series illustrating the living forest.
In the summertime many wild flowers are growing in the forest, like this foxglove.
This one is taken from a totally other point of view as the previous from yesterday.
The entire plant is poisonous (including the roots and seeds), although the leaves of the upper stem are particularly potent, with just a nibble being enough to potentially cause death !!!
