Test Photo 1
This is the best of my first group of photos with the Pentax F* 600 F4. It was shot from 9 meters, and cropped from the center of the image area. I need much more experience using this lens. In this photo, the back and wing feathers are in focus but not the eyes. If you have photographed or observed these house sparrows, you know that they move constantly. I submit this photo just to show what the lens can do. Other images in this series, shot at F4, were very sharp. The lens is quite good wide open. Other data: Pentax *ist D at ISO 800; 1/500 at F4.5 on tripod; Noise Ninja and slight sharpening with nik Sharpener Pro.
