sind nicht hier, im fernen Lande
sitzen sie im Sonnenlicht.

Ordentlich, wie aufgeriehen,
hocken sie dem Wasser nah,
sind zu faul wohl, um zu fliehen,
deshalb bleiben sie auch da.

Nur wenn einer kommt zu Scheuchen
heben sie die Flügel an,
werden schnell, ganz schnell entfleuchen,
so wie das eine jede kann.
