Taleju temple in Kathmandu
Durbar Square is dominated by the temple of Taleju, highest and largest of all the valley. The goddess Taleju, a manifestation of Goddess Durga "the inaccessible or the invincible", to which they offered bloody sacrifices, was the guardian divinity of the Malla sovereigns.
