The ruins are still there. This part of the plant was closed in 1999, electric steel mill no.1 (left side) continued to operate for some time after. Now only steel mill no.2 still operates being the most modern (EAF 3 commissioned in 2002 and the continuous caster in 1998 and modernized in 2002, also they are building a new LF by BSE (Badische Stahl Engineering) ). The rolling mills are also in operation. You can't see these in this picture, they are way back in the background some 5km :)

Impressive industrial landscape. We do not see quite often such kind of pictures with industrial landscape from Rumania. Please carry on uploading more. I like the aesthetics.
When was decommissioned the factory? The ruins are still there or they cleared already the place?

Meine Güte! Muß das dort einmal schön gewesen sein, als die Anlage noch komplett stand. Beeindruckendes und sehr traurig stimmendes Foto.
