Swayambhunath Complex in Kathmandu
This stupa isn't well known by the tourists visiting the Swayambhunath Temple Hill in Kathmandu. If you use the steps entering Swayambhunath from the northern side you'll pass this stupa and the Shantipur shrine. Atop Swayambhunath hill is another fascinating, though smaller and less visited temple. Its Shantipur, the 'Place of Peace', inside of which, in a secret, always locked, underground chamber lives the 8th century Tantric master Shantikar Acharya.
