STATUA DEL CRISTO REDENTORE
La statua del Cristo Redentore di Maratea si erge nelle vicinanze delle rovine di Maratea Castello, antica cittadella fortificata che nel 1806 fu attaccata e distrutta da un contingente di soldati francesi.
Fu proprio in memoria di questo evento che nel 1907 si volle ergere una croce commemorativa in ferro battuto sulla cima di Monte San Biagio.
