Soaring pelicans
Threatened to near extinction in the early 1970s by excessive use of pesticides their population is back in the safe range. They soar the coastline enjoying the upwash from the bluffs. There are some nice spots where you can shoot extreme close fly bys.
Canon 5D-II, 70-200mm lens + 2x converter 1/2000 f11
(The 2x converter works great but the 100-400mm lens definitely rules!)
